The Greek Theatre Welcomes Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff concert at the Greek Theatre Los Angeles
First, the Greek Theater audience was treated to a show before the show! A 10-minute long pre-show showcased behind-the scenes footage and some interview clips to keep the fans entertained until showtime. When the lights went out, the arena was filled with an aura of green glow sticks and harmonizing red and purple lasers that filled the stage as the star took her place.
Hilary Duff rocked a sold out Greek Theater in a black, sleeveless shirt and vest combo paired with army green short-shorts, black fishnet stockings and big black boots. Aptly titled the "Still Most Wanted" tour, the much proclaimed teen queen performed hits from her "Most Wanted" (not to be confused with Greatest Hits) album.
The Hilary Duff Greek Theater show opened with Hilary's latest tune "Wake Up" to help the audience shake off a 30 minute lull after the opening act and, while all the performances of the night were well received, it was 2003's hit "Come Clean" and a unreleased track from Raise Your Voice that were undoubtedly the crowd pleasers. In between songs, screaming fans exhausted their vocal chords with "I love you Hilary" and "Hilary Rocks" shout outs while the superstar smiled and waved to as many fans as she could.
The Greek Theater stage was decked out with a big screen, two ceiling-high silver columns, a 5 piece band, 3 back up singers and 3 back up dancers all of whom Hilary took the time to introduce to the Greek Theater audience. Additions to the stage included a front ramp and two side ramps allowing Hilary to sing to every corner of the Greek Theater. Seven thousand teens, tweens and their moms couldn't get enough Hialary Duff.

Norman Horowitz: Politics and Poker (HuffingtonPost) My favorite source for definitions of words is Dictionary.com. The history of the word theater is as follows. ... The theater in the west... Stay Awake for the Ten O'Clock Show (San Diego Reader) “Theater matters because it’s the only place where one can find hope. Films are manufactured for us, but in the theater, the actors and the audience are getting together to manufacture a narrative, and to me, that’s where hope resides.” |
